A carbon-trading market is a good tool for companies which want to be paid for
reducing their carbon dioxide emissions, but now everyday citizens can take
advantage of carbon-trading markets too.
A carbon-trading market is used by businesses, governments, or other entities
which commit to a greenhouse gas reduction goal. Those which beat their goals
can sell their credits to those who produce excess greenhouse gases. This system
provides a nice incentive to reduce emissions and will make green businesses more
competitive via increased income through trading.
There are even ways for private citizens to get involved in these markets. By
participating as part of a larger entity, known as aggregating, you will be able
to sell or trade your carbon credits for profit. By aggregating your credits into
a larger entity, the carbon offset credits become large enough to trade or sell
in the Global Emissions Exchange market. This is done transparently on the GEX.
Additionally, you can help your State and County governments reach their emissions
goals, helping them to get paid for their credits.
To sign up with the Global Emissions Exchange GEX, visit their website at:

Don't forget to contact your County and State governments to express your interest
in this program and your request that they also participate.
