More Enigin Energy Saving Success Stories

July 3rd, 2009

Enigin PLC can truly be called a “green” company, being rather new to the green technologies arena, but that does not stop them from making a big splash fast.

Here are two additional articles on Enigin’s activities, including yet another case of an Enigin Partner giving something back to the community, something we at Maryland Green Power Co consider an inseparable part of doing business.

Why purchase a solar water heating kit, when you can get a high-quality, complete system with manufacturer’s warranty for les than $ 1,100?

Maryland Green Power Co. has been selling a residential / small commercial sized solar water heater with 40 square foot flat panel solar collector, drainback system with drainback reservoir, pumps, controller, valves, heat exchanger and all miscellaneous items except for PVC piping which costs less than $ 1,100 after Federal and State solar incentives are factored in.

For businesses, depreciation of this equipment leads to even quicker payback.

Flat Panel vs Evacuated Tube Solar Water Heaters

June 9th, 2009

Although the evacuated tube solar water heaters are slightly more efficient in the winter and look cutting-edge modern, many people think the flat plate solar water heaters are esthetically more pleasing.

In fact, a 4 square meter flat plate solar water heater is equivalent in heat production to a 3 square meter evacuated tube solar water heater.

The flat plate solar water heaters tend to be a little less expensive, making them, dollar per dollar, about equal to the evacuated tube solar water heaters from an investment standpoint.

Quoting Intelligent Energy Solutions:

An independent study by the DTI compared a number of different types of system and the panel that produced the most hot water was of the flat plate variety.
