Solar Energy Can Be Your Enemy!
Solar energy works both ways, and in the summer it could increase your cooling bills tremendously!
Here’s a simple and elegant solution to the problem: a reversible solar energy reflector / absorber panel which heats your rooms in the winter and cools them in the summer. In addition, it creates an air-tight seal around your windows to further improve insulation!
Many “energy-efficient” windows block solar energy, but do you really want to do that in the winter? These attractive panels help you get the best of both worlds. This might be the most cost effective solar power solution you will find for years!
Regardless of your present heating and cooling system Eco-Flector Window Retrofit can save up to 40% of energy costs and make your home or building a more comfortable place. Did you know that windows are one of the biggest energy thieves in a building? Glass is highly conductive, allowing energy losses with both heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. Glass also has a high solar radiation factor, creating uneven temperatures and unnecessary loads on HVAC systems.
Eco-Flector Window Retrofit is a see through Insulating Panel mounted to the inside of windows, doors or skylights. The panel is manufactured of a metalized, coated, polyethylene sheet laminated to a sheet of carbon graphite PVC that is then perforated and laminated to a sheet of clear polyester.
The insulating panel is reversible, so the reflective surface can face outward during the seasons when solar gain is a problem, and the carbon PVC surface can face outward during cold seasons to reflect heat back into the building and collect convective sunlight for conversion to radiant heat. The panel is held in place with magnets which form a virtually air tight seal and inhibits infiltration, conduction and convection while providing additional dead air space for insulation.
